This is Esla Nightsong, my whisper gnome rogue. I did the lines with sharpie pen and colored it in paint. Now that I have a drawing tablet, I plan to redraw Esla and give her a fresh new look. same with my old ghost elf sorc Myka, drow sorc Ilivarra (I later used her name for a bad guy in my published book series, The Chronicles of Midgard), and half-drow ranger Sha’uri (whose name I also ended up using for a book character as well).

Ugh…about 16 hours later and I finally finished it. Recently my D&D sorc Vix was “killed” and offered the chance by a powerful being to forget all she had learned and retrain as a Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (D&D Complete Arcane prestige class). I thought that since she had a class change, she needed a new, updated look to reflect her new profession. And thus this picture was born. I tried to reflect the whole sevenfold veil thing in her clothing, thus the rainbow colors. On her shoulder is her familiar, who even after a few years gaming, remains unnamed :( To see a drawing I did of Vix when she was still a sorc, go here: http://shiovra.deviantart.com/art/Vix-215308713 Wacom Bamboo Splash tablet, ArtRage Studio

Gamer in the works :D

So my son was running around in his Batman shirt with a Nerf sword in on hand, Link’s Hylian shield on the other hand while wearing a clone trooper helmet. I took a picture and realized in the background you can see a d20, d12, and d10….yep, we’re definitely raising him right!

He’s also a huge Doctor Who fan. Last year I had to make him the 10th Doctor’s clothing for his costume. Even made him a TARDIS box to collect his candy in.

Much fun :3

So today our group was being “tested” to see if we were strong enough to earn a peculiar group of “people’s” respect and help. So we are led to the man who is to test us, quite a few seem intimidated by him, some afraid.

At first he’s just casually sitting in the middle of a large room, reading a book. Yeah, that doesn’t last long. Turns out he was actually a dragon with the half-dragon template applied—half blue, half red.

Now my character is a Sorcerer 9/ Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil 2. When I ran out of usefulness and a good chunk of my hit points, I wandered away and found the book he was reading, leaving an explosive runes spell a few pages after his book mark.

After returning the the party, getting knocked down to -3 HP, then healed by the Paladin, the dragon finally took human form again and conceded that we had earned his respect. He then leaves us to return to his book.

A few minutes later, we hear the explosion from the runes quickly followed by a roar of rage and lightning breath weapon that shoots across the sky. The lady in green who had led us to him turned into a green dragon and stopped him, demanding to know what has made him so angry. He replies, “They blew up your journal!” Well now she’s angry at him. “Why did you have my journal?!”

At this point, I’ve completely lost it. The rest of the party is asking what happened, but all I can to is laugh. Ah…that was so much fun!
